How do I find the right instructor?


Ultimately, it will be virtually impossible to know if an instructor is the right one for you until you’ve worked with them, but there’s a lot you can do to increase the likelihood that you’ll find an instructor who will be a good fit. However, if you are unsatisfied with your first session with an instructor, per our Money-Back Guarantee (outlined in the Client Payment Policies), you can request a refund for that session within 24 hours of its completion.

To increase the likelihood of finding an instructor who will be a good fit, be specific in your keywords and search criteria. Also, carefully look at a potential instructor’s profile (click on an instructor to view their profile and check that the “About” tab is highlighted) to see if their education, experience, approach, and specialties align with your goals and interests. Take a look at their calendar to see if their availability is compatible with yours. You can also read reviews (on the instructor’s profile page, click on the “Reviews” tab) to see what other members have said about their experiences with that instructor.

If you find an instructor you think might be promising, you can send them a message. Click on the “Message [instructor’s name]” button at the bottom of the “Schedule with [instructor’s name]” box on the right of the screen to ask a few questions, to get more information, and/or to book a session if you decide you want to work with them. The pop-up message window automatically populates text about scheduling a session. However, if you aren’t looking to book yet, but rather to learn more about the instructor, you can delete that auto-populated text and write something else. Note: you will need to be logged in before you can message an instructor.
