What if I can’t accept a new client?

If, after hearing from a member about their needs and goals, you feel that you are not the instructor to help them, you can decline to work with them. Consider saying something like, “Hello, [member’s name], Thank you for reaching out! I’m glad to hear that you’re interested in a session with me. Based on your specific goals and on my experience and specialties, I don’t think I’m the best choice to help you find the success you’re looking for. I recommend that you try an instructor with more experience in [the member’s area of interest; maybe use a keyword or two here]. I wish you all the best on your ZentasticFit journey! Regards, [your name]”

Or, if it’s a scheduling issue, consider saying something like, “Hello, [member’s name], Thank you for reaching out! I’m glad to hear that you’re interested in a session with me. As much as I would love to work with you, it looks like our schedules do not align well at the moment. If your availability changes, feel free to reach out again; I can do that same, too, if you like. Until then, I wish you all the best on your ZentasticFit journey! Regards, [your name]”. If you find that you are frequently having to deny people because of availability issues, perhaps you could take this as a sign that you’re a hot commodity and you could increase your rates.
